New Year's Eve, 2014

Southwest parts of Texas will get ice. Rain and moderate snow will fall in Arizona, California and New Mexico. There will be scattered showers in Florida. Calm and quiet reign in the rest of the nation.

Monday's Weather Report

Storms in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia will bring rain throughout the region. Northwest region may get more than 1 foot of snow in some places. Nebraska and western Iowa will get snow. 
Later this week, temperatures in South Carolina will be in the 50s.

Tuesday, December 23 - Christmas Adam!

Rain continues in Charleston, SC and Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana and Georgia. There will be tornado watches in some locations and severe thunderstorms causing gusty winds. Thunder and lightning are also likely. The Midwest, including Iowa, is getting snow and wintry mix.

For Christmas Eve, rain will extend all the way up the East Coast and Kentucky, Wintry mix and snow in Illinois and Indiana. There will be snow in Missouri and parts of Arkansas. Northern California, Oregon and Washington will get rain, as well as wintry mix in Oregon, California and Nevada.

"Christmas Adam" is a family joke. Since tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and Adam comes before Eve, today is "Christmas Adam." =)

Weekend Forecast

 Rainy weekend predicted in Charleston, SC with storms starting Friday night. Iowa and Minnesota plus Montana/North Dakota border are going to have wintry mix. Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia will also have wintry mix. Kentucky, Virgina, and West Virginia will see snow. Northern California will have heavy rain. Oregon and Washington will see moderate snow with heavy rain. Idaho will also have moderate snow. Utah and Wyoming will get snow. Otherwise it will be calm.

On Monday, rain continues in the Southeast and East. Iowa will receive rain, as well as the majority of the Midwest. Southern Minnesota will have wintry mix, changing to snow in Northern Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. There will be rain in Oregon, with snow in Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico.

On Tuesday, east of the Mississippi River will be rainy. The New England region will have wintry mix and snow. Iowa will have snow; but for the rest of the country it will be clear.

On Christmas Eve, rain continues along the East Coast. Wintry mix in Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan. Snow for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Minnesota. Northern California will get some rain. 

 

It will be clear out in the Southeast on Christmas Day. New England will have  mix of snow & rain. The Northwest will have snow.

 

Weather for Wednesday

Storms continue on the Pacific Coast. Snow is falling in the California mountains. Nevada, Utah, and Colorado will get snow today. Arizona and New Mexico will also get some snow or rain. There will be storms in Texas. Snow and rain are heading to the North East states today.

This Friday there will be a low pressure forming in the Gulf, near Texas. This will bring rain to Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. And Sunday this low pressure will more east, causing rain in Mississippi, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina as well as parts of Florida. As this moves northward, it will bring snow to the New England region.

Weather for Tuesday, December 16

California is getting more storms and heavy rain. The mountains are expecting 4-6 inches of snow. There is a rain storm along the East Coast. Ohio is expecting snow today. Otherwise it is calm.

Saturday's Weather

There will be snow flurries in New York today. California is finally getting out of the rain. Eastern Nevada will get some snow. Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona will have a rain and snow mix; moderate snow in the mountains. Scattered showers in the mid-west and into Texas. Near the Canadian border will have wintery mix. Charleston, Sc should get into the 60s, and near freezing overnight.

Friday's Weather

Heavy rain continues in California, with some places getting 4-6 inches. New York will get some snow flurries. Charleston, SC may get out of the 50s today, and down to freezing tonight.

Thursday's Weather

Winter storm Damon is heading to New York today, with snow again. The Pacific area is getting more heavy rain, causing flooding. California mountains are getting snow. In Texas, there is scattered showers. Otherwise, it is calm.

California is going to have pouring down rain tonight. Some areas will receive 6-8 inches. The California mountains will get snow. In New York, heavy snow is expected. There is rain in the New England region. It should be calm throughout the rest of the U.S.
